The Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamaa administration in central Somalia has welcomed UN security council partial extension of arms embargo on federal government of Somalia.
Sheikh Ibrahim Sheikh Hassan a senior official of the group has told Bar-Kulan that the government should be vigilant about use of arms.
Sheikh Ibrahim added that his group will take part in what he described as efforts to clear Al-Shabaab militant group out of the country.
The United Nations Security Council has extended a partial arms embargo on Somalia through October after reports surfaced that militants are getting weapons intended for government forces.
All 15 Council members agreed on Wednesday that the requirements for ending the 22-year embargo have not been met.
