The high court in Garowe the capital of the semi autonomous regional state of Punt Land has ruled 52 illegal immigrants to be deported back to their country Ethiopia.
Mohamed Noor Farah the high court judge has said that all the 52 people were arrested in Qardo while on their way to the port city of Basaso in order to board boats to cross to Yemen.
He said the judiciary has requested from the regional state government to return all the immigrants to their country after the ruling.
The court will hear the case against the drivers of the vehicles transporting the illegal immigrants at the time of the arrest.
Punt Land is a route to immigrants targeting to reach Europe via Libya and Yemen.
