President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sh. Mohamud has on Wednesday afternoon opened the National Leaders Forum in Baidoa town, the administrative capital of the Southwest State, SONNA reported.
The leaders will focus on the model of election process in this year, reviewing the constitution, women’s political participation, and establishing electoral commission and commission for conflict resolutions during the meeting according to the officials.
President Mohamud said that the aim the forum is to produce possible agreed outcome, saying it is to put the common interest first before the individual one.
Regional leaders, members from the executive council and parliament, diplomats and guests are attending the two days forum.
Such meeting seems to be last one for leaders to decide the upcoming changes and election which is expected to be held later this year in the country; many others were held in Mogadishu and in Kismayo town earlier.
